Pareto Energy Industries
Commercial Real Estate
We work with developers, construction companies, architects, municipalities, and owner-occupied buildings to organize and finance Energy Independence Districts for new developments and existing downtowns. EIDs can then implement a Local Power approach, including on-site trigeneration of electricity, heating, and cooling to provide clean, reliable, and affordable energy.
- Reduce your first-costs through independently-financed EIDs
- Build new beautiful, functional buildings that take advantage of the best “sustainable technologies” without increasing costs
- Reduce operating costs for you or your tenants through Local Power, while providing superior performance (improved reliability and power quality)
- Lower your environmental impact by improving efficiency and reducing energy use (and cost!)
- Determine the best mix of technologies and systems that benefit you (not your vendors)
- Retrofit inefficient, wasteful buildings with the latest high-performance energy systems
- Acquire cost-effective LEED credits to reach Silver or Gold
- Take full advantage of available government partnerships and incentives – local, state, and Federal
Financial Services
- We work with companies with trading floors, data hotels, call centers, and other computer- and energy-intensive operations. These sites pose unique energy challenges, with strong demand for ultra-reliable power and high costs for electricity and cooling
- Install Local Power to achieve “five-9's” reliability (99.999%), at a fraction of the cost of traditional UPS and back-up generators
- Reduce business losses from power interruptions or from the glitches that result from the poor power quality of the traditional grid
- Slash cooling costs by replacing electric-powered chillers with ultra-efficient equipment that uses “waste heat” from on-site generators
- Lower the environmental impact of all your operations through high-performance building systems, and earn improved ratings from certification agencies such as IPMVP/EVO or SGS
Shipping Ports
We work with port authorities, shipping lines, longshoremen, and berth operators to manage the successful transition to shore-based hotelling power for cargo vessels and cruise ships. The single worst source of air-borne pollution in the U.S. -- previously unregulated ship-board diesel engines – can be replaced by “cold ironing” with ultra-clean dock-side cogeneration.
- Reduce timelines for cold ironing from years to months with megawatt-sized modular generators
- Avoid tens of millions in unnecessary expenditures on transmission and distribution networks, because power is generated right at the port
- Cut emissions from docked ships by many orders of magnitude, at an affordable cost for power
- Take advantage of “waste heat” from on-site generators to provide refrigeration for nearby warehouses and processing facilities
