Pareto Energy is the technology-neutral, vendor-neutral energy expert. We provide clean energy for sustainably designed projects. Working with our partners, we will finance, design, install, and if desired, operate “Local Power” for any appropriate development, city, or campus. Pareto can provide can key services throughout all phases of project:

Design / Build Phase:

We work closely with developers, architecture firms, master planners, MEP companies, and other parts of the design team. For on-site power and for high-performance building technologies, we are firmly vendor-neutral, offering our clients advice on the best combination of equipment and design features with the highest return on investment. For larger projects, we can take the lead in establishing an energy investment master plan.

Incentives and Government Relations:

We help developers obtain available incentives and subsidies from all levels of government and from private foundations. We leverage the environmental advantages of EIDs and Local Power to obtain accelerated permitting, community buy-in, and the highest possible LEED certification.

Financing:

We can provide multiple routes to financing for energy infrastructure. Independent project financing for all CHP and renewable energy related equipment and installation can be based on a power-purchase agreement with the tenant or the site owner. Larger-scale EIDs can use innovative tax-exempt financing similar to municipal bonds. Real Estate Investment Trusts can play a key role in taking assets “off-book” while also folding other energy efficiency and high performance building measures into the same financing package. If desired, Pareto will also apply its expertise in energy procurement management to secure the best possible rates for fuel and for grid electricity (if any is needed).
